Metalline’s approach to sustainability throughout the project life-cycle contributes towards a circular economy and is evident in our collection of Environmental Product Declarations (EPD). Our EPD’s outline the life cycle of our products in accordance with EN15804+A2 and ISO 14025 / ISO 21930 standards.

Major order secured for rainscreen and spandrel panels at a commercial and residential building project in Liverpool for over £1.5 million.
Metalline secures the contract for the Athletes Village in Stratford for the London 2012 Olympics, signifying a notable transition towards more intricate and technically advanced features.
The business invests in a 6m press brake - the largest in the industry.
The Grenfell Tower tragedy marks a pivotal point in the focus on fire safety in the UK.
Metalline conducts a full scale fire test to BS8414 standards.

CLAD-LINE product testing begins.
Metalline tests rainscreen and spandrel panels to BS EN 13501-1 fire safety standards.
The business invests in a state-of-the-art press brake and TruBend centre.

Efectis is a global player in fire science and covers all fire safety expertise in testing and modelling, certification, inspection, education and expertise. Efectis accredited testing facilities have been at the forefront of technical excellence for more than 30 years.

ULTIMA

Warringtonfire are a global leader in fire resistance testing specialise in large-scale testing of cladding. Their fire resistance testing is done to British, European, International standards, in line with CE marking, UKCA and UKNI marking and third-party certification.

CWCT

The Centre for Window and Cladding Technology (CWCT) is a publisher of industry standards and guidance on building envelopes. The CWCT ‘standard for systemised building envelopes’ gives a framework for specifying building envelopes incorporating various performance criteria.

Metalline gained certification in early 2017 for the Metalline UNITY aluminium rainscreen System. All our UNITY systems follow the guidelines for rainscreen cladding recommended by the CWCT. In order to gain the certification our panels were subjected to and passed through the following tests:

  • Weathertightness – Dynamic
  • Wind Resistance – Serviceability
  • Wind Resistance – Safety
  • Soft Body Impact
  • Hard Body Impact

All these were performed in accordance with the ‘standards for systemised building envelopes’ CWCT 2006.
