Metalline have produced a wide variety of copings, providing protection from the elements for a building's structure.

Copings have generally featured a hidden fixing system, providing secure mounting of the pressings without affecting their visual impact.

Secret Fix
Metalline Secret-Fix Coping System provides an attractive, weatherproof and economical to
parapet and perimeter walls. Installation is quick and simple, normally from a roof without
the need for external access or scaffolding.

The secret fixing method ensures that attractive clean lines are maintained, and together with the availability of coloured finishes it further adds its use as a design feature.

All jointing sleeves and fixings are supplied with neoprene seals, thus providing complete weatherproofing at the joint.

Finish
Metalline coping is available in standard mill finish, polyester powder coated (including Syntha Pulvin) or PVF2 coated to most BS or RAL colours.

Fixing
The intermediate fixing clips are screw fixed to the top of the wall at 800mm maximum centres.

Corner clips are provided for securing the outside or corner sections. The type and size of fastening must be suited to the material of the wall.

Check the level and the alignment of the clips before tightening screws. Press the coping
section over the clips and slide in jointing sleeve.

Thermal movement
The coefficient of linear expansion of aluminium is 0.000024/0C and a gap of 1mm per metre of coping between lengths is recommended.

Specification
All copings are fabricated from mill finished aluminium sheet to BS 1470. Fixing clips are
extruded aluminium to BS 1474.

Thickness of Material
For wall widths up to 340mm, 1.5mm
For wall widths over 340mm, please consult our technical sales staff.

When ordering please state the overall wall width, including any asphalt, rendering flashes
etc and remember to clearly specify which profile (flat top, sloping or expansion joint) is required.

Unique Jointing Sleeve/Fixing Clip
Metalline have devloped a unique extruded aluminium jointing sleeve and fixing clip for their secret-fix aluminium coping.

The specially designed ribbed edges not only gives added strength to the fixing clip but provides an extra barrier to combat water penetration.

This together with the special EPDM neoprene seals provides complete weatherproofing at the joints and gives the specifier total piece of mind.
